Autumn Birding

Decisions ,Decisions,Decisions........spend an awesome Saturday morning out in the wild soaking in all the sights and sounds of a nature preserve and being totally at peace OR... go check out the Brown Booby at the Erie Basin Marina and join in the excitement of all the birders checking out this possible once in a lifetime bird in our area. On my drive toward the waterfront a point was reached.... turn here for Tift NP or continue on for the rare bird. I decided to turn into Tift. I am more of a bird and nature "watcher" . No bird life list with me (though I do tally my species for the year) and this particular bird just didn't peak my excitement.Throw in a rare Hawk or Owl and I'm there! Anyway I made a wise choice for myself, as the day was warm the skies were clear and the birds were out and about in full force. The trees were full of both the Ruby and Golden Crowned kinglets and getting a decent photo of one is a pretty difficult task.Brown Creepers were out in full force as were the White-throated Sparrows.
